Mission and Ministry Fund

M&M Fund BrochureThe Mission and Ministry Fund is a hallmark of Catholic Health Initiatives’ spirit of innovation and dedication to creating healthier communities.

Since its inception in 1996, CHI has awarded 347 Mission and Ministry Fund grants totaling $41.6 million.

The fund is one of the most visible ways Catholic Health Initiatives lives out the vision of our foundresses. (Click on the image above to access the full pdf version of the brochure.)

Purpose

The purpose of the Mission and Ministry Fund is to provide funding (for up to 3 years) for the planning, development and implementation of new initiatives to promote healthy communities.  Grants are awarded annually for initiatives proposed by entities within the CHI family:

  • Individual facilities or groups of facilities
  • Participating congregations
  • National offices
  • Other affiliated parties

Rationale

The fund is a statement of CHI’s commitment to the creation of healthy communities and a tribute to the commitments of its founding congregations.

Funding

Grants may range from a few thousand dollars to more than $100,000, depending on the scope of the initiative.
